Cog SEO Blog- Melanie Prough’s articles can get a bit ‘techy’ but she definitely knows what she’s talking about. You can learn a lot from her.
W3C Markup Validation Service- Enter your url and check the markup (HTML, XHTML, etc.) of your web documents. You will be notified of any errors so you can correct them to help improve your SEO.
Google Webmaster Central- This page gives you a general idea about SEO and provides you a link to download their SEO Starter Guide. This is a relatively short pdf (22 pages) but very informative.
SEO Beginners Guide- Complete overview of SEO processes, techniques and strategies.
SEO Chat- Great website for all things SEO related.

This is an invaluable tool if your intent is to build a list with the intention of marketing your products and services. I currently use this email marketing management service and highly recommend it.

Google Keyword Tool – This FREE tool allows your to plug in some descriptive word and phrases and Google helps you generate new keyword ideas. Try it out!
Webmaster Tool Kit - Offers a FREE tool that allows you to plug in any URL page you would like to get keyword analysis on. It basically reads the page and analyzes what words are being used and how often they’re used.
