Tweet It Forward Game Part II: Team Building

tweet-it-forwardNotice: This game if officially closed. Please check back for the next one!

Quick recap first: a couple of weeks ago I announced the start of the game Tweet It Forward.  In case you’ve missed it, the game involved taking a group of people where one person had to tweet out another persons article and then that person tweeted out the next persons article, and so forth, until the “circle of trust” was completed.

Here were the results I noticed:

The game went a lot quicker than I thought it would!

I had given everyone 24 hours to #tweetitforward someone else’s post. With 18 participants playing, I had expected well over 2 weeks for the game to complete. Instead the game completed in just nine days!

Although I assisted in helping to move the game forward with friendly reminders to all participants; with where we were at in the game, who was just “tagged” and who was next, my participation was at a minimum.

I had fun!

I truly enjoyed referring and watching the game move forward, watching the excitement from the participants and the camaraderie that took place. It just proved to me what an amazing group of people bloggers are!

I met some new friends!

One of the biggest benefits of games such as these is that you get to meet new people. I’m always looking to expand, not just my business, but my circle of friends and contacts. As I’ve always said, you never know where that new relationship can lead you. Maybe a new collaboration?

So I’ve decide to do this again, but add a twist. My new buddy @BillyKirsch from Kid Billy Music who not only participated in the last #tweetitforward game, but amongst others @SheilaAtwood, @top10blogthemes, @MarianneWorley, @ezyblogger, really played full out and helped me move the game forward, came up with a fantastic idea:

Playing the game in teams!

#tweetitforward

So here’s the deal, the rules are the same. If you are not aware of them check out this post. Here’s the twist: all participants will now be broken up into one of two teams:

My team >>Team Inspiration

Billy’s team >> The New Edge

The first team to complete the “Circle of Trust” will win. Prize? Bragging rights of course! And a chance to meet more tweet folk. What else do you want? ;-)

Seriously, besides bragging rights, the losers will have to tweet out an article from two of the bloggers in the winning team. Once the game is completed, I will let the “losers” of the game know who’s article they will need to tweet out.

But seriously folks, now matter what, no one will be a “loser” in this game. This social networking game was created to make all those involved winners!

For those of you who participated in the last game, I would love to hear what were your thoughts of this game and whether or not you felt you received any benefits in playing.

Once again, if you would like to participate in Tweet If Forward Team Building, let me know in the comment section below. Be sure to add your website link to your name and your twitter username and a big resounding YES that you want to play!

Right before the game begins I will write up a new post with all particants, which team they are in and who’s article they need to tweet out.

So what’s up? Are you up for playing?

Don’t forget to share this and get some of your friends involved in Tweet It Forward!

Wow the whole tweetitforward game a great idea, a fun way to help eachother reach more people, that is what a call a win/win/win… guess the amount of wins depends on the amount of people playing.

If I am not to late I would love to join the next round.

Thank you Michele reading about this was very inspiring :)

    • Michele says:

      Hi Arron,

It is a great way for people to meet each other as well as support other bloggers. It’s also a lot of fun to play. ;-) The game just actually finished. Forgot to put up a notice… my bad. ;-) I will however being starting a new round soon. I just connected with you on Twitter, so will keep you posted.

      Thanks for stopping in.

  21. Looks like an interesting experiment, glad to see it got popular quick!

    • Michele says:

      Hi Justin,

Ironically it didn’t really start off as an experiment, but rather I thought it would be a cool way for people to meet each other and have fun. We all tend to take our business so seriously… it’s good to do something different and most of all give back.

Will definitely be doing this more often. Would love to see how it goes on a grand scale. ;-)

      Ciao!
