Blog Engage Contest: Six Months & Still Going Strong!

For those of you who may not know of Blog Engage, its a social platform where bloggers meet to “engage” each other, submit their work to be voted and commented on and to connect with other like-minded individuals.

If you have a blog (and if you don’t currently have one for your business you should!), this is a great place to get more exposure for your business and make connections.

Well, Brian Belfitt, the founder of Blog Engage decided to host a contest each and every month for the entire year! Seriously, where does he find the time? ;-)

Blog Engage RSS and Contest Sponsorship Services

So why am I writing about it? Because I’ve decided to partake in this lovely contest, of course! If just seemed like a no-brainer to me:

  • Possibly win some cash… woohoo!
  • Gain more exposure to my site, thus more traffic… double woohoo!
  • Connect and network with other bloggers… yippee!
  • Challenge myself and practice the Art of Marketing… yes, it does take practice.

Look at some of the yummy prizes:

First Place, 200 USD, Free Month Business RSS and Contest Sponsorship Services
Second Place, 100 USD, Free Month Platinum RSS and Contest Sponsorship Services
Third place, 100 USD, Free Month Gold RSS and Contest Sponsorship Services
Fourth Place, 50 USD, Free Month Gold RSS and Contest Sponsorship Services
Fifth Place, 50 USD, Free Month Gold RSS and Contest Sponsorship Services

Now I won’t get into the contest details on how you can participate; Brian does a great job with that already. Just follow this link for all the juicy details.

Is it going to take work to participate sure? Sure. Is there a chance you may not win even after all the work? Of course. But I will leave you with one thing I once overheard Seth Godin (my new mentor, unbeknownst to him ;-) ) say – he had to do 400 speeches for FREE before getting paid for speaking gigs!

What does this have to do with the Blog Engage contest? Well, you may have to put in some work, maybe even a LOT of work before you get the results you want. It’s part of the process. So “get out there in a big way” to quote my other mentor, Fabienne Fredrickson (unbeknownst to her as well ;-) ), the creator of The Client Attraction System – which by the way, this investment is worth every penny and a bag of chips ;-) – and be OK with “paying your dues”.

Because when the time comes for it to be your turn, at it will, you will appreciate it all even more so. Good luck.

Your thoughts? Are you ready to play?

    What’s up Michele,

This seems really fun, even with the hard work you mentioned. I’ve heard of blog engage but haven’t really heard of this contest.

I’m gonna have to take a look at the rules and see what’s up. Another game and you’re in it, sounds fun to me :)

Hope you have a great weekend!

Good luck Michelle! I am sure you will do great! By the way, I just tried registering with Blogengage myself but the register links aren’t clickable. Did they stop registration or something that you know of? I’d really like to setup an account myself and check it out.
